In the wake of a brutal stabbing attack at yesterday’s Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade,  Shaare Zedek Medical Centre continues to treat two of the most seriously wounded victims in the  Weinstock Department of Emergency Medicine.

The first victim, a female, was treated for upper body injuries and her condition is now listed as stable.

The second victim, also female, arrived in a far more serious condition and from very deep stab wounds to her upper body which required extensive blood transfusions.

Shaare Zedek Head of Trauma, Dr. Ofer Merin,  said it was still too early to say that the second patient was fully stable and cautioned that she still faced a risk to her life. Dr. Merin said her condition would be better known once surgery is completed.

Our thoughts are with the victims of this terrible attack and we wish them all a speedy recovery
