Our Hospital

Shaare Zedek JerusalemShaare Zedek Medical Centre opened its doors for the first time on Jaffa Road in Jerusalem in 1902. The hospital moved to its current location opposite Mount Herzl in 1979, and it is now the busiest hospital in the Jerusalem area. It is currently undergoing the greatest period of expansion since it was first built.

The hospital has kept faith with its founding philosophy by combining Jewish values and traditions with the highest standards of medical excellence. Every patient who comes through its doors is treated equally regardless of race,
religion or ability to pay.

At any point you’ll hear one (or more) of over 30 languages; you’ll meet people of all faiths and you’ll encounter anyone from a newborn baby, a centenarian or a doctor from the West Bank.

Shaare Zedek truly is “the hospital with a heart”.
