Why I joined the Young Shaare Zedek UK Committee

Wednesday, February 01, 2012 | by Shaare Zedek

Craig Karpelowsky is the newest member of the Young Shaare Zedek UK Committee. The committee is responsible for hosting events which appeal to Jewish Young Professionals, creating both an awareness of the hospital as well as raising funds, which really helps to ensure that the hospital’s life-saving programmes will continue for the benefit of future generations.

When asked why he wanted to join a Young Committee, Karpelowsky complimented the hospital and said he wanted to get involved in more Chesed work and had heard that the Shaare Zedek Medical Centre does amazing work in Israel and it is something he would like to be associated with. To Karpelowsky, Shaare Zedek is a place where all people are treated equally and it’s all about the preservation of life, showing the Jewish people in a positive light, setting politics aside.
